Before you begin taking regular lessons, a trial lesson is offered to help you determine whether lessons with the teacher are suitable for the student.
The trial lesson will cover basic music theory and beginning methods for piano.
The trial lesson is also designed for both the student and teacher to become more familiar with one another. The teacher will assess the student’s learning styles and any needs.
Scheduling your trial lesson can be done by contacting Kevin through his website or through his contact information below:

Attendance is necessary and essential for the student’s progress.
If a student arrives late to the lesson, there will be no time added to make up for lost time. This is to set to respect the time of other students that follow. Therefore, the lesson time will end at the assigned time.
In the case of a “no show” where the student does not attend the lesson, there will be no opportunity to make up the lesson.
-
Opportunities for make-up lessons will only be available when the teacher is noticed that the student will be absent for a valid reason.
Legitimate Reasons would consist of the following:
· Sudden illness of student or family member
· Planned vacation leave
· Observed Holidays
· Events established by school or church
Illegitimate Reasons would consist of the following:
· Student is not in the mood
· Student not prepared
· A non-emergency or sudden cancellation

Students are recommended to have an 88-key piano or keyboard at home to use in order to practice and learn.
A student’s own copy of any assigned books/pieces will also be required.
It is highly recommended that students have a tablet-like device, such as an iPad, that can utilize the apps IMSLP/or ForScore in order to store digital sheet music and other resources.
A notebook or journal will be required to keep track of assigned homework for each week.
After assessing the student during the trial lesson, any recommended material and resources will be assigned, which will need to be obtained and brought to lessons each week.
-
Tuition rates are not disclosed to general public.
Please contact Kevin for further details.

Payment amounts are determined by the desired lesson type chosen.
Payments can either be made weekly, or monthly. Monthly payments are expected within the first week of the month.
Payments can be made through various methods.
Digital payment methods are preferred (Venmo, PayPal). Other methods, such as checks or cash, are also accepted.
Payment methods will be discussed after the trial lesson, and information on where and when to make payments will be provided.
If a payment is late, an additional $10 fee will be placed.
